Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings
I think it's because Fed has more than 18 countable tournaments, and Djoker hasn't. You can only count your best 18.

Yes, Federer had already 18 countable tournaments, djokovic 17. So Federer (11075 -90 lowest countable that he can replace)+ 135= 11120 Djokovic 11000+135=11135

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings
Novak rly has only 15 tournaments (not counting WTF ofc) bcs he has 2 zero-pointers and 1 of them (Washington) will drop next monday and be replaced with OGs points. + he has a 0 for Shanghai (as well as Fed) but that's not the point now. The point is, Novak wont have to erase anything this year bcs he counts only 3 non mandatory tournaments (you can count 6) and only 2 of them are from this year (MC and Dubai)

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings
Isner will move back into the top 10 if he upsets Federer.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings
Rankings as of Quarterfinals, not sure about Roddick. And Isner is 11 and Almagro 12.

That's why I used "countable tournament " the fact that he has some "zero pointer" it is irrelevant as far as the ranking are concerned. Next week he will still have 17 "countable tournament"(not counting WORLD TOUR FINAL)

Del Po has 3270, not 3315, Roddick is right, I think,
besides Almagro is behind Isner because has less points in mandatory tournaments

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings
Will Del Potro overtake Tipsa is he wins at least a bronze medal? (unlikely I know). The 8th spot is crucial for seedings.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings
Will Fed get a 0 pointer for a late withdraw from Toronto? He can skip 2 MS1000 due to age and number of matches played.
If he doesn't get a 0 pointer he can count 90 points from Doha instead.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings
My question is, is Djokovic's SF loss here at the Olympics and Rogie's finals appearance for the gold enough to guarantee Rogie is #1 after the Olympics? If not, does Rogie still have to win gold to stay #1 and if still not, by how much is he out? If Rogie stays #1 after the Olympics, he has a great chance to be #1 at the USO.
Rogie defends: 90 Canada and 180 Cincinnati, so only 270 points.
Djokovic defends: 1,000 Canada and 600 Cincinnati, 1,600 points (1,330 more than Rogie, a lot).
Rogie is not playing Toronto, so he loses the 90 points right? I bet Djokovic will play in Toronto even after playing the BMM on Sunday. Djokovic's NOT going to let 1,000 points slip through his fingers, especially with so many guys already pulling out of Toronto. He might even win it outright and defend all 1,000 points.

Toronto is a mandatory MS1000 tournament, then if you are allowed to enter and don't take part, you get zero point for that event and can't replace it with another result.
The rule which allows Fed to skip 2 mandatory MS1000 tournaments this year is only for money/official excuses concerns, has no importance for teh rankings.

now Fed is certain to stay number 1 on monday, and also on monday after Toronto.
Even if he loses on sunday AND Djokovic wins the bronze AND Fed skips Toronto (it's official now : he does) AND Djokovic wins Toronto, Fed would still be 5 points ahead (11345 to 11340)
Djokovic can still be number 1 after Cinci (Fed has 11165 points assured after Cinci, and Djokovic can reach a maximum of 11740)

So, he will be able to count Doha after his Tokyo 0 pointer drops? Or does he have to play a 4th ATP500? Is Olympics treated as an ATP500?
