Djokovic VS Roddick - Who is more of a 'personality'?
I saw a couple of posters argue about it in GM, so...
Both are pretty fun, but what do you think?
I think Roddick takes it

Re: Djokovic VS Roddick - Who is more of a 'personality'?
They both break racquets but Roddick also yells curses, argues with umpires around the world and also tells reporters to retire
Has to be 'Dick.

Is being an asshole considered having personality?

In America it seems to be a necessity among personalities. Connors, McEnroe, Agassi, Roddick.

Being an asshole shows your personality
'Dick is also quite funny in press conferences, it's not all bad

Re: Djokovic VS Roddick - Who is more of a 'personality'?
Roddick gives the best show in press conferences and the same during changeovers.
There is more to having a personality than attention whorism.

Roddick, because his is genuine. Novak's is just forced & attention seeking!

Munze my love, you know I do. If you don't see that Nole is a gigantic attention whore, despite all my unselfish efforts to help you see the light, you never will.
But I still love you because of your perky personality.

Re: Djokovic VS Roddick - Who is more of a 'personality'?
I don't think you can really pinpoint what their true personalities are like. They both seem to put on a show for the camera. I know that people may think Andy's press conferences are often witty and he makes light of a lot of stuff, but he comes off as extremely insecure to me and that joking personality could be a lot more tense behind closed doors.
I honestly don't know what to make of Novak because I think he plays with the crowd's minds on how to view him from tournament to tournament.

Roddick. The 2007 AO press conference (I think it was) alone wins it for me.

Re: Djokovic VS Roddick - Who is more of a 'personality'?
Roddick's press conference ranking is skewed because he always has the funniest subject matter to work with.

Re: Djokovic VS Roddick - Who is more of a 'personality'?
On the surface it would seem like Andy. But he's been around a while; after a few years you realize he's just recycling the same old material.
I think there's more to Novak. I see evolution and maturation in him vs how he was in 2006 or 2007. I don't really get that with Roddick.
