I looked at the schedule for first day and it isn`t one particular half that`s playing. For instance Federer/Falla and Berdych/Darcis are on opening day and both matches are on opposite halves.
Making a perfect schedule is always tricky here as a lot of top singles guys are also into doubles.
For instance Murray will play alongside his brother also on Saturday.
The way i see things,it`s tough to predict anything in this tournament as a lot of guys will play both singles and doubles on the same day.
Djokovic isn`t scheduled to play anything tomorrow so probably Sunday he will do double duty

it's first half except that Ferrer's 1/8 (because it contains Kohli) is replaced by Berdych's.

Thanks, I've just found the schedule of play. I was hoping to see Dimitrov but he is playing on Saturday. At least I will get to see Novak on Sunday and I have tickets for Monday and Tuesday as well so hopefully I will get to see Grigor if he wins his R1 match. It's going to be a great tournament no matter who I get to see and I can't wait.

Re: The Olympics Draw Thread
Roger is an expert at fucking up in Olympics singles, never count him out no matter who he plays, I mean Blake ffs? he never lost against him ever except in the Olympics, Youzhny could well be his Blake this time around, or Verdasco or anyone else
there's too much on the line and enormous pressure on him here since this is the last realistic chance for him to get a single's gold, though the doubles he won does lift some pressure off him

#1 seed always has the easiest draw (relatively speaking)... and you didn't seem to mind when Djokovic was getting them...

Re: The Olympics Draw Thread
The scheduling is further messed up because all the players who are carrying their country's flag in the opening ceremony are being given a Sunday start, as the opening ceremony is likely to finish after midnight.

yes, at least that must explain why Djokovic doesn't play his doubles first round on saturday.
Generally speaking, according to what I saw, they decided the doubles schedule for saturday considering the number of players in each doubles match who played singles and started on saturday, but considering that Djoko-Troicki's match might have been played on saturday : it seems that the fact that he held the flag in the ceremony played a role here.
A few players will play both doubles and singles on saturday though, when there's only one player concerned in the doubles match : Nalbandian, Isner, Ferrer ... and Benneteau who said in an article which someone posted that he wanted to take part in the opening ceremony anyway even if he played on saturday morning : eventually he will play 2 matches on saturday
I also say that because I've seen that Benneteau has become a major "hope" in this tournament for some
On sunday several players will play both singles and doubles ... and even more on monday and tuesday as there will be two doubles rounds these days.
Anyway, let's hope it doesn't rain too much for the scheduling. The latter forecast look a little bit better although there will be some rain during the tournament for sure.

This is most typical OOP:

Anyway, if potential Fed v. Benny 2R match was fishy, so is in women's side Sharapova's potential 3R match against Lisicki who beat her at Wimbledon.
