Yes, this one is relatively close. Record for year-end top-2 is 8, shared between Connors and Federer, while Nadal has 7. Looks to drop one further back this year, though.

Even in that scenario, Djokovic does not even hit 150 weeks. More like around 130 weeks or so. Becomes #1 again after Wimbledon 2013 and loses it after AO 2015.

200+ weeks not happening for Djokovic.

Speaking of year-end number two, Boris Becker was sure unlucky not to achieve the year end number one in 1989. He won Wimbledon and the US Open and Lendl only won the Australian Open. Sorry this is pretty random, but I think it's interesting.

I think it is interesting too. And look here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World-n...layer_rankings
Becker is credited as ATP best player of 1989. This is (so far) the very last time ATP contradicted their own computer ranking, at least as far as #1 goes. It was common for them to do so during the 70s and the start of the 80s. So I guess Becker deserved some more weeks as #1. Lendl would still be top-2 though, and thus keep his 409-week record there. A little strange Lendl managed more weeks but fewer year-ends as #1 than Connors, and has more weeks but fewer year-end #1s or #2s than both Federer and (particularly) Connors. Lendl wasn't too lucky with his timing, it seems, 1989 notwithstanding.

Its difficult to hit 200+ with his style. Nadal was more consistent player in slams yet didnt hit anything close with that. Djokovic hitting 150 or 130 will be the best. Prob not even close to 150 ever.

I doubt it. A lot depends on US Open but I'm thinking Rogi will make the Finals this year so one of Novak/Nadull will not be defending their points at US Open. That will open the gab quite a bit. Things can change over the next few months of rankings but things could also stay the same.

Novak has a lot to defend between now and US Open, but can gain a lot afterwards. Roger can gain now and has lots to defend after.

Scheduling is tight this summer so Novak can't afford to skip Toronto while Rogi can to save some energy. Remember what happened last year even when Novak 2.0 was around, he was burnt out after US open.

Default DJOKOVIC pass FEDERER as world number 1

While Djokovic is never likely to win 17 slams. I firmly believe one record he will take off FEDERER in the future is WEEKS AS WORLD NUMBER ONE.

He is so far ahead of the rest of the field and currently in his best form since 2011. I can't see anyone topping him in the next 3--4 years. THOUGHTS!??

This is an absolute mammoth task. I don't know if the DjokoKing can serve up 302 eggs.

Who knows. It might happen. A man can become pregnant with a sextuplet. Also an asteroid might cause an extinction event before that happens. Anything can happen to be honest.

I can't see it not happening.

A--he is so far ahead of the field with his nearest challengers in decline. And B--He is playing so well he will pull even FURTHER AHEAD. Which is scary. And means he is likely to be world number one for at least 3 to 4 more years. Until he joins Federer in the inevitable decline to Father Time.

He is not anymore.

The best example why even tennis trends and astrology cannot help someone for the bigger picture, in the long run...
