To be fair, he was offered the wildcard prior to the injury. But I agree that Jack would be better off playing qualies.

I'm not blaming him at all, more the sports management agencies and USTA. It's definitely a large problem for US tennis as a whole. Anyway, for better or worse he is going to get a lot of wildcards this summer, which might be ok as they will be on hardcourts. IMO if he was ready to go last week (which I think he was)he should have started his comeback in Winnetka qualies
He is definitely going to make his career on hardcourts.
