Personally, my main wish is for him to win other slams, let's say one more at least , it's always a delight, and especially the US Open, or Roland-Garros but I don't dare for Roland-Garros.

But I also like the WTF and the MS1000 tournaments

Winning the US Open would give him a very good shot at the year-end number 1 ranking then it would be two delights together

Besides, I don't want Nadal to hold the slams record, anybody else because it will surely fall one day, but not Nadal Then winning more slams is still the priority for me ... and playing many more years as Roamed said

Federer4everer : for Connors, I will look at the link someone posted at my home because at my work, I cannot connect to the ATP website It's tougher to know for Connors than for Lendl because he's even older and the rankings were more questionable in his time, I rather had the impression he had less than Lendl but from what I read, the ATP website says otherwise then I will look when I'm at home.

yeah... actually after the #1 weeks record is in the bag... i would be satisfied already if roger does not break anymore records... most impt is to win more titles.... but it's always nice to have more records broken too...

oh i certainly wish for him to win more slams... but as far as this thread is concerned.. it's about records that roger has not achieved yet... so in this thread's contest... extending his own record doesn't count...

and oh yes i think winning US open to make him be sole owner of most titles in open era would also be one of my top wishes too...

Thanks Duong for your comment above. It must be very tricky to estimate weekly ratings before they officially existed! At some point we may come to a time when there would be no question that RF is the leader, but those 2 guys were in the top 2 or top 3 for a very long time off and on.

Also I have to agree with your point about getting morre slams to put it out of reach! Allez.

This list tracks those players who remain active since Roger's slam participation streak began in AO 2000 - 12 years ago. With the retirements of Chris Rochus, Ivan Ljubicic, Arnaud Clement, Jiri Vanek, and Rainer Schuettler that brings the active total to just 6 players out of the original draw of 128 players who remain active with ranking points. Antony Dupuis will drop in another month, bringing that total to just 5.

Tommy Haas is the highest ranked player! He will, after Dupuis drops off in a month, be the oldest player on this list as well.

Okun keeps his RP with SF points at the exact same futures tournament as last year.

Tommy Haas - STILL ACTIVE - (33)
Juan Carlos Ferrero - STILL ACTIVE - (65)
Michael Llodra - STILL ACTIVE - (74)
Lleyton Hewitt - STILL ACTIVE - (159)

Noam Okun - STILL ACTIVE - (1069) [May 28th, 2013] (6 RP)
Antony Dupuis - STILL ACTIVE - (1426) [September 10th, 2012] (2 RP)

Joseph Sirianni (NR) STILL ACTIVE [November 7th, 2012] 0 RP
George Bastl (NR) STILL ACTIVE [November 14th, 2012] 0 RP

Jiri Vanek - RETIRED -
Ivan Ljubicic - RETIRED
Christophe Rochus - RETIRED -
Arnaud Clement - RETIRED -
Rainer Schuttler - RETIRED

Did you check for players, that didn't participate in AO 2000 for some reason (injury, skipped)?

If Roger wins 2 medals this year he will be the most medaled male tennis player in the open era. Woodbridge, Woodforde, Edberg, Ivanisovic and Mecir currently have the most with 2 medals each

If he bags 2 golds he will tie Venus as the only 2 players to have 3

Fernando Gonzalez already has three. Silver and bronze individually and gold in doubles. Not that it matters much as three for Fed is off the table.

With Federers victory today he elevates his TB win record to 319. Sampras' 328 is clearly within reach. Not the most prestigious of records, but still....

Lendl has 22, I believe, even if they were not called Masters before 1990. Still within reach, but not in Cincy.

I think this list is a bit arbitrary. The reason for this is that prior to 1990 all tournaments below Grand Slam and above the level which is now 250 were called Super Series. In that list I think they just picked the 9 richest Super Series each year and designated them as equivalent to todays` Masters when such dictinction never actually existed at the time. I have most of the World of Tennis [edited by John Barrett] yearbooks from 1970-2001 and there were no such distinctions made. What is now 500/1000 were then Super Series. Additionally you had the at times independent WCT tour.

This means that Lendls total is not quite as impressive because the top players were spread out more ie. you often had 2 super series events per week.
