A little offtopic, but we have a court at the local "sport central" that is unlike anything i've ever seen. You picture this material.

Just obviously without the spaces, but it's really some kind of rubber, or i don't know, really. But it is extremely slow, and the ball stays loooooooow. Couldn't find a picture about it, but maybe somebody saw something similar.

Stop it.
Tiriac might be reading this thread and could get another bad idea.

Yup! I've played on tennis courts exactly like that! Except it played really fast(but still low)for me. I've never played on grass but it fit the description of what it plays like =O

I've played on wooden court too. Was very loud on the footwear & it was difficult to get to anything . They are generally extremely fast with a very low bounce. It was more popular decades ago than now however.

I can't help but laugh at some of the posts at this thread just trying to imagine a match where a serve monster like Karlovic would play an ultimate pusher like Devvarman and see how many points the latter would win.

Also Karlovic vs Raonic would be fun. Insta-tie-break ftw!

We've played tennis in a gymnasium before. I assume that's what a wood court plays like. It's quite fast.

I imagine more injuries due to the slipperiness. Also, a serve-fest would be boring, just like Isner vs Mahut.
