He played football when he was a kid and gave it up to focus on tennis.

Most of them are well off to begin with, so I'm doubting the Burger King and Mcdonald's answers. Probably something their parents force them to do.
I'd be interested to see what happened to a player like Sharapova who came from nothing.

He found a job as construction worker and after 1 week quit the job and came back on his knees begging his trainer to take him back

I think he even played in the youth of FC Basel.
Murray and Rafito are pretty good football players as well.

I can't picture him as a football player either. He's either a tennis player or a diplomat in my mind. Roger in a suit.
