Default Guide to US Open tickets

Hey guys....couple of friends and I are trying to get tickets to US Open Men's Semifinals....and I was hoping I can get some advice on where and what to buy...

First of all, the tickets are sold out from ticketmaster..the site USTA sells the tickets...the tickets to that session was sold out before the tickets was open to the public....can anyone explain that?

Secondly....does anybody know which site has the cheapest tickets? Is anybody aware of any deals that will allow me to get discounts?

Lastly, I need some help deciding which tickets to get. Has anybody been in Arthur Ashe Stadium. It looks huge! Can the game be watched from the middle of promenade (the farthest level in the stadium) closely? I heard that people usually sneak to the front rows of that section if there are open seats? Is that true? Do ushers check if you sit in the exact row that you bought?

The ability to sneak to the front row of the section...can this be done in lodge as well (the second section of the stadium).....the worst lodge seat is about 700....the mediocre promenade seats are about 250-350 ish....what do you guys is the best option??
