Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
Big year coming up. Has a chance to pass Agassi on hard and Sampras on Grass/Wimbly, and Connors overall.
I don't think there's been anybody who's done as well on the slams as he has.

Roy Emerson has 211 wins (1954-1971). He is the best Pre Open Era.

Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
Congrats on tying Connors, Fed.
At RG - Fed could pass, Connors total, Lendl, and Agassi for total on the dirt. Not bad for someone who isn't a claycourter. Could climb as high as second all-time, behind Vilas.

Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
Borg 5.222 wins/Grand Slam
Nadal 4.758 wins/Grand Slam
Federer 4.601 wins/Grand Slam
Djokovic 4.129 wins/Grand Slam
Connors 4.103 wins/Grand Slam
Sampras 3.904 wins/Grand Slam
Lendl 3.895 wins/Grand Slam
McEnroe 3.711 wins/Grand Slam
Agassi 3.672 wins/Grand Slam
Becker 3.543 wins/Grand Slam
(Murray) 3.448 wins/Grand Slam
Edberg 3.296 wins/Grand Slam
Wilander 3.273 wins/Grand Slam
Borg > Nadal -.464
Federer > Connors +.498
Djokovic > Lendl +.234
Murray < McEnroe. -.263
Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray are +.005 wins/slam. In theory, this makes them the strongest foursome ever in grand slam history.

That is really surprising when you think about it. Connors plays for 20+ years and wins eight, Sampras plays for a much shorter time and wins 14, and still Connors has more wins pr average.

It's one of the reasons why Connors is vastly underrated in the GOAT discussions. In 35 consecutive slams entered, he fell short of the QF only once.
Federer has an amazing record of 33/33 slams, but, still has a little ways to go to break Connor's record. Two more slam QFs will do it.
Kevin Curren has the honor of being the only man in 35 slams entered to defeat Jimmy Connors before the QF. On court 2 the 'Graveyard of champions'.

If I am correct, Roger have 34 of the last 35 only a loss in Roland Garros in 2004
