Re: WWW Halle Final: Thomas Haas v. Roger Federer
The outcome of this tournament explains exactly why the H2H between Federer and Nadal looks like that.

Re: WWW Halle Final: Thomas Haas v. Roger Federer
Really hoping Haas can score an upset here. It would be a perfect comeback story if he does and Federer would have his confidence dented going in to Wimbledon.

What a lovely looking finals this will be.
So happy for Tommy to make the finals, will be happier if he can just avoid injury for a while ><

According to Twitter, this is the first time since Umag 2006 (Moya and Pavel) where the two finalists were over 30 years old

Re: WWW Halle Final: Thomas Haas v. Roger Federer
Haas will win in two sets, 7-6/6-4. No break points for Federer on this

Nadal did. That was an incredible match, wasn't it? Fortunately, the H2H doesn't show just the winner of the last match, but sums up the entire rivalry, whether it's overall or on each surface. 2 wins and one loss on grass is a positive H2H, regardless of the order. Same thing goes for HC (6-5). I'm not saying that Nadal is ahead between them for no reason, but while Federer has been making it to almost every RG final (along with other clay events) and falling short only against the king of clay (most of he time), Nadal hasn't been good enough to earn the right to face Fed that often on faster surfaces.

Oh? So Rafa has beaten Roger 6 times on non clay surfaces whilst Roger has only beaten him twice on clay ? Interesting.

Yes. He's held up his end of the bargain the last 2 years at Wimbledon, but for some reason Roger didn't show up. Same thing at the USO. Rafa doesn't care about the MM tournaments. He's made the final in 8 of the last 9 GS'...waiting for the other half of Fedal to show up. Alas, Roger chose to show up only at RG last year. Who's fault is that

So what? Fed's not been in his prime for a long time, and when he was, Rafa was the one constantly failing to live up to expectations (hence all the finals being played on clay). Let's face it, 2003-2007 Fed would beat 2008-2012 Rafa on all surfaces but clay.
