There is a lot of discussions about this topic, but I was watching and I swear to god, compared to the tour the top 3 look like they came from another planet.

The only person who can somehow be a danger to the ranking of the big 3 is Andy Murray. Despite the fact that every player in the top 10 has a very decent chance in a match against Murray, he is still a better player than Ferrer, Tsonga, Berdych and Del Potro.
If Murray is the only possible threat, can he really do it? I really think he CAN'T. After watching his losses in the clay season, and his latest loss to Nicolas Mahut in his opening match of a ATP 250 tourney, and taking a close look at his stats, I don't think he will be able to up his game anytime soon.
Here are some of his stats in 2012:
- Only 1 title (ATP 250).
- He has only 2 wins against top 10 players (Berdych, Djokovic).
- 6 losses against players outside the top 4. 4 of them are losses to players outside the top 20.

I am focusing on Andy so much because at the end of the day - If he can't break the top 3, as for now, nobody else can. And this is just not happening.

As for the top 3, Djokovic is still very very close to his peak, Nadal is still way too young to be talking about chronic knee issues, and Federer's level is still too high to have a massive decline anytime soon, and you know...he is Federer. Those guys will be holding the top spots for the next couple of years, and probably longer.

About the Slams, you are 100% right! If you take into account that Fed's results in Slams those two years are considered disappointing, and Murray has been good (for him) at Slams since the start of 2011, you can see how getting ahead of these guys is so different from making an upset. One great performance isn't gonna cut it, and nobody is capable of being better than them for a long period of time.

I sure hope they won't remain untouchable. And by that I mean the top 2 as Federer has been proven to be as far away from untouchable as possible, especially at Wimbledon.

that would be the one thing that restrains my celebrations. The knowledge that the moment I get on MTF after the final Sapeod would strike with wave after wave of GOATard postings.

no doubt, but I guess he would be having the last laugh to some extent.

The British press are terrible. Some of the rags are very low, as shown by the recent phone hacking scandle.

1st of all, this year Ferrer has better results than Murray.
2nd of all, Murray has 3 wins over over TOP10, he won against Tipsarevic in Miami.
3rd of all, Federer isn't dominating anythnig, exspecially by his standars. He is a solid no.3 but in 2 years he won't be able to beat Nadal or Novak on any surface, and will at best have much trouble against some other players. Novak and Rafa may be untouchable in 2014, but it's not a given thing.

You can´t go on predicting 2 years ahead of now. Fed will be 32 going on 33. Novak and Nadal? Who are you to say they can significantly drop their levels?

Donald Young will finally realize his potential and will finally capture a slam title and #1 spot in 2013, while having an epic rivalry with Ryan Harrison, Tomic and Dimitrov that would put current clowns to shame.
