Default The MBA Thread

So having given my GMAT just today, I thought I would see what the general consensus was on further studies and more specifically the MBA.

Personally, I find education to be more informative in terms of networking and experiences rather than the studying you do in the classroom which is where a lot of the MBA programs shine (the HBS Case Study method).

However, it is an expensive prospect with more universities charging in the $100k range.

Does anybody find it a valuable "investment"? Any other thoughts?

It's definitely a very good investment if you go to a top school.
Also, I would get a few years of good work experience where you are progressing well, then attend a top MBA school if possible. Should give you some great opportunities coming out.

Like you said, it is more about the connections you make than the actual learning in the class.

If you can afford it, definitely go for it
