Re: Football Zone (Eden Hazard to Stoke City)
Eden Hazard is Roman Abramovich's first step in rebuilding of Chelsea - Guardian
Chelsea’s rebuilding grows with £78m Eden Hazard signing - Telegraph
I should be excited but considering:
£35m fee + £9m/y salary = £80m 5 year investment
I honestly don't know what to feel. He plays in pretty much the same position as Mata (voted our player of the season). If he replaces Lampard that's fine but we desperately need a holding midfielder.
The guardian makes a good point; this was definitely not a managerial decision. Whoever is in charge next season will probably be at the mercy of the players. All the ingredients for another disaster.

Re: Football Zone (Rodgers the new manager at Liverpool)
Rodgers going to be the new Liverpool boss and Martinez staying at Wigan. Bad for Swansea, time to get someone like Poyet.

As for the manager I can see it being Di Matteo but on a rolling contract. Pep's on a sabbatical so he'll try and get him next year.

Ronaldo cost £12m. In fact the few times SAF has broken the bank, he's bought flops: Veron, Berbatov among others. Let's not pretend buying superstars has been the United way. Stars are made at United.

Liverpool FC need to return to the good old days when the players were born and bred locally. Dalglish, Keegan, McDermott, Kennedy, Lawrenson, Hansen, Grobelaar, Toshack, Molby ........ or were they just the Chelsea of the 70's buying the best talent available in the market?

Berbatov a flop?
Wouldn't say he was that bad. Top scorer last season wasn't he?

Re: Football Zone (Rodgers the new manager at Liverpool)
Lol, no one should be going near a mediocore club like Liverpool, especially if you are just starting you managerial career, like Rodgers. Bad decision by him. I wonder why he rejected their talks at first, then decides to go when they come for the second time?
