This is really good news. How nice to see Peter taking advantage of the good draw.

Re: Peter Polansky
Peter does not have the power to beat Marinko I don't think.

Not sure but the live scoring said it was their first meeting.

You're right - Peter was beaten by him a couple of times in 2010. He at least won more games in those encounters than today.

Re: Peter Polansky
Peter's clay prep for RG is at a Futures 15K in Romania, where he is the top seed. He won't meet anyone ranked above 1531 until the QF so hopefully he can ease himself in

Re: Peter Polansky
He did not get a SE in Bordeaux this week so I guess he went there.

Peter won the first set of his match 62 and finishes that and his second round match tomorrow in Romania.

He's playing there when he could have played Fergana instead.

Re: Peter Polansky
Why would he play Fergana? That's on hard court, he's playing the french qualies next week. It makes so much more sense to play a clay event even if that's a future especially because he played a hard court event last week. Fergana is also quite far from Paris, don't want him to be jet lagged.

really he's in the top 200 and he's playing a futures event of this level? he is not lacking in confidence and his ranking is cvlose to his career high right now. He really should not be there
i get he wants clay prep but ...playing such low level competition really isnt going to be that helpful and there are other clay events avaiable that he could have tried. Or maybe instead of playing on hard last week he could have played a clay event
