Since we're stooping pretty low here with the analogies and all in the scheme of portraying a realistic imagery, I'll add that grinding doesn't necessarily mean running after each ball and making it look in the process like you're getting it from a horse in the rear-end. Scraping means making balls and playing tight, moving the ball around. I know it's super difficult to understand but oh well.
Or maybe Bachinger is indeed the Fernando Gonzalez of Germany. Ah joy.
