his knees are not having that many problems he hasn't even brought it up since before Monte Carlo. Nadal had knee problems that season but you cannot diagnose it simply because he made it far at Australia. you can be certain he will opt out of tournaments to preserve his knees if necessary in todays game.
I think you are getting too excited. Nadal has only once in his career had such shattering knee problems as 2009, and that was IN 2009. Federer is very up and down, and Djokovic has never proven himself on clay and only limitedly on grass.
maybe get a glass of water and face reality before you condemn Nadal to getting an injury
