He was just on a post DC high, and it's fading. Same thing will happen to Tipsarevic - his high just started later because of injuries.

Good win for Bachinger though, especially after losing 2nd set like that, twice ahead a break, both times giving it straight back.

I wonder if Troicki will wildcard into Belgrade now, they desperately need something after Djoko pulled out, the field is just awful.

Brands' co-favorite surface is clay. He's also been deep in ATP events several times. Bachinger is the surprise, though. This is only like his 3rd career ATP QF.

The winner of this match should get a WC into Munich. If Brands wins he'll be top 100 again.

Bachinger will probably make SF then. I don't trust Brands when it comes to consistency.

That could be a breakless match on slow clay

Bachinger will get broken for sure. He's actually not a great server.

I'm going to do a WWW thread of that match now but I'd be shocked if Brands loses.

Sure Brands is a quite good clay player but at ATP level I didn't expect him to go so deep. But even more then Bachinger for sure. If Brands would have real consistency he good be a good Top100 player but because he has not I expect a Bachinger win.

Vik just doesn't have any confidence anymore, which is usually an unknown quantity with Serbs.
