This is one of those matches you're just happy to get through. Kei made it a lot harder on himself than it should have been. Good fighting from Ramos as always, saving 9/11 BPs.

Ramos needs to improve his rally backhand. He hits way too many in the middle of the court, short, begging to be smacked. Kei was really inconsistent but when he was hitting his combinations, he was clearly the better player. He needs to clean up the lapses, though.

Kei needs to learn to shorten his matches. He had so many chances to go double breaks up in the second set but Ramos fought hard and saved multiple BPs.

TB was great with lots of winners.
But it wasn't his drop shot day except for one clean winner to break Ramos' serve.
