David Guez is in the hospital right now. He suddenly had problems with his eyesight and will be kept there for observation for a couple of days..

Read it on the twitter of Schoorel, who was supposed to play him (it's in Dutch)

An interview of Gachassin l'equipe today and it's clear they will have a new rule of designation of the captain. Federation will make a profil who is someone who played DC who knows how it works and above all a leader. They will receive candidacy and make a short list on their side players will also do a short list.

Then players, the DTN, Di Pasquale, another guy from DTN and Gachassin will discuss and elect the new captain who will no more only be the choice of the players. The article alos deals with a new repartition of money and some others things. Well it shows that being the choice of the players mean nothing because you've to be in the same time the choice of the federation but I'm not sure the guy they're searching exist

Here a list made by AFP

Quote:

That's just rumors ! And Arnaud is the favorite of the medias, it doesn't mean he's the next captain.

Le Parisien about Amelie and it seems that none of the guyz would have say his name. Some people from FFT say she must say she's candidate to show she's interested the players need that

Finally players seem not ready for Amélie Bennet was again on a the same radio show yesterday. Bennet is very talkative he must say yes to all the demands cos we see him a lot in the medias compared to more famous french players

Well about new DC captain he said that none candidates will have the votes of all the players and in way they seem OK to let the FFT choose In a way they just give the names they don't want te be sure these ones won't be choosen. It looks they don't have a favorites

More I read and listen more it looks that Escude will be the captain. He's in my point of view the choice of the FFT and players look not against him.

Benneteau in a webradio show http://www.tennisplay.fr/news/radio talks about the new captain and it seems that there have been already 3 meeting between the players. For Bennet a former player is ahead the others in his mind, some players agree with his choice some are not. There are 2/3 names given by the players which mean that players are not agree as at the best a candidate have 3 votes as only 6 players take part into these meetings . Now surely discussion with the candidates and the federation who could chose between those 3 names. Not a good news that nobody has the legitimity from all players

I stay on Escude as the choice of the federation and 2/3 players, I put Grosjean as an outsiders and Clement who was the favorite of the medias has clearly not the unanimity of the players as they wrote in their papers. Well the captain is one of them unless a big surprise.

Confirmation by the FFT.

He's the captain for 2013 campaign. The new coach would be interesting to know as well.

There are many changes at the FFT. Arnaud Di Pasquale work on a plan to help the youngest players to enter the elite and be at the top. New way to give out the money less for the players beyond 25 YO and more for the young. Our juniors are not great so they seems worried for the future so it can explain this new plan.

Changements in the groups of training but many others changes will come as Gilles Simon just break up with Tulasne.

With google you should be able to understand the new philosophy of french federation

Quote:
