Not clever decision. I thought Czech Republic isn't playing Dusseldorf this year
And he might have pulled out because of his ankle injury which made him retire in Barcelona.

Czech Rep got the wildcard.. and I can see the reason why he pulled out and he wrote: Dusseldorf WC

Re: Ivo Minar
Ivo is in Hamburg MD despite losing to Horna in qualies:
LOPEZ, Feliciano ESP v (LL) Minar, Ivo CZE [Minar replaces Almagro]
He's then facing Ferrer if he beats Lopez

Re: Ivo Minar
Ivo lost to Ferrer 3-6 3-6 but at least showed some fighting in the end. He should reach his new career highest ranking next week, something around 63

Re: Ivo Minar
Ivo had a poor start to the 2011 season, going 2-7 through the first two months of the season, but in mid-March he won the Rabat challenger over Luczak in the final, his 8th career challenger title. The next week in Marrakech, Ivo made the SF, then in a five week stretch, he made the SF of Rome, Napoli and Prague challengers and the final qualifying round at the French Open. At that point, Ivo had made it as high as #114 in the world.
Unfortunately, his results from that point fell off considerably with only two wins from June to October, largely due to a back injury. After losing in the first round of Cordenons in mid-August, Ivo didn't return to action until October, where he lost in the final qualifying round of Mons. He finished 2011 at #183 in the final rankings.
Ivo has a 9-8 record through March this season, his best result being a SF in Kazan and two QFs in Meknes and Casablanca challengers. However, with the points he was and still defends in the coming weeks, his ranking is in danger of falling from the top 200, so hopefully he can maintain the decent results he's had this season going forward. His next scheduled tournament is in Blumenau, Brazil next week. GL to Ivo in Brazil and in future events!
