To me this shows how well Nadal has done to achieve what he has against 3 much more superior hard court players than him. Novak and Andy especially are not good match ups for him on outdoor hard as their double handed backhands deal well with his high bouncing shots. Yet he's 3-9 and 4-4 against both. When you see that Rafa's 9-2 against Novak on clay it shows that their match up so far has actually been the most even - Rafa better on natural surfaces and Novak on hardcourts.

Overall he's 12-15 on outdoor hard against the other 3 which really isn't that shabby for an apparent claycourter...

Very true. The guy should have a hardcourt slam by now. Really surprised how easily he lost to Rafa at the US Open last year - Rafa had not been in great form and that surface suits Murray... Murray has most mental issues against Nadal though and seems most confident against Novak. The dynamics of the top 4 really are funny...
