Re: Food thread
Most people also don't realize how outrageous food prices are in Australia - especially on premium meat and seafood.

I like how it looks on the plate - It's got a rustic, simple, "sit down, shut up, and eat" feel to it. It's what a dedicated, home cooked meal should look like.

Re: Food thread
Meat isn't that expensive in Australia, just depends on where you go and yes major supermarket stuff is crap. That's the same anywhere.
Want expensive food prices go to Japan, Norway, Iceland or Sweden.

Only ever been to LA. Always wanted to go to NY. Would be great to compare the quality of food to here in Aus.
LOL . Australia is not what you guys think it is . But I guess I tend to think that USA is just a great big lardball. But I understand peeps over there are trying their hardest in getting a healthy regime going .

Red Lobster's pictures of food may look amazing. Their actual food is crap. Overcooked, dried-out, tough. Stay away.

Re: Food thread
I'm pretty sure Outback Steakhouse is just American food with a some Australian stereotypes thrown in for fun.
