Sportsnet is showing it on TV, but in their ads they're calling it World Cup instead of Davis Cup. Shame on them for not respecting the name of a prestigious, well known, hundred year old event. I understand that they're trying to convey the importance of the event by comparing it to an even more popular event, but using World Cup instead of Davis Cup is very bad form.

I don't like that Vasek is playing all 3 days. I would have rather have him rested for Doubles and the Battle of the #2s on Day 3.
I guess this puts a little more pressure on Raonic to win both his matches, since Vasek won't be as fresh on D3.
That is probably part of the reason why Monfils isn't slated to play on Day 1, so that he recovers a little more from his Final in Montpellier.
But good luck to Canada anyway. Not very often that Sportsnet will air the whole Davis Cup tie  |
