Disappointed with results, but there were something good in there too, since all players played singles well. doubles on the other hand was really dissapointing, Finland had lead in both third and fourth set and lost both... But honestly, in any other surface than clay it would have been different result for sure.

LOL, with all problems now fifth and sixth choises for Finland playing today at least (Juho Paukku and Timo Nieminen), so bad luck really...

Finland lost 0-5 to the Netherlands in February. Jarrko and Harri were not able to play singles and Paukku and Timo Nieminen were predictably overmatched by the Dutch team.
Finland will now have to defend it's position in Group 2 later in the year. It would be nice for the entire team to be healthy for that ever important tie as they don't really have the depth to handle a major issue with one of their top players.

Horrible loss for Harri. Hope he can bounce back. Should've won that fifth set, missed a sitter forehand at 4-2 30-15 when serving and only won 1 game after that. Forehand went into self-destruct mode.
Really hope the guys can beat Denmark, it'll be tough if we get relegated.

Micke Kontinen replaces Brunken it seems.
Micke will be the only guy on the team who has played a tournament in 2013.
Jarkko, Timo and Brunken have played as well, but why are they not on the team? Timo would have been good enough to win on Friday.

In case u still have no idea Brunken is missing since due rule change Brunken can't play for Finland apparently, as person must have lived in country he represents for 24 months or something.
I guess when it comes to Jarkko, he has decided to put his own interest first here, he is not so young anymore so I think it's understandable, I'm quite sure if they were still where they were last year Jarkko would play but as things are now, not.
As for Timo, maybe he is not in good form? Micke might well be better currently. Juho was good last time in davis cup so I guess they are now counting on him.
Apparently at least Harri and Juho will play Finnish league during weekend (per Harri's blog) so not like they go daviscup without having some touch to competetive tennis. Still I would question Henri and Harri being nothing more than doubles pair, best of 5 might still be too much for them. So this would leave Juho and Micke for singles.
