. Well I know a few other south Asians on the board too. Let's hope they can hop onto this thread too
Also you will get that 1 in a 100 poster who will click on this thread, listen to a few songs and become hooked without even understanding what the heck is being said and be dependent on translations which do not accurately depict the beautiful words .
Wherever I am
No matter where that be
your memory keeps company
Whether I reveal
or keep my lips sealed
about what's inside me
Though,it appears
that the world walks with me
but secretly
loneliness festers inside me
and yet your memory keeps me company
Somewhere a stake of memories
gets driven inside
Elsewhere every picture
turns into mist
Some find happiness
in every color the world offers
Some are offered everything
and yet keep longing
Somewhere the roots of the past
dig deep inside
Elsewhere following a broken string
the beads scatter effortlessly.
Some find space
for every news the world offers
Some carry the lamps of the past
forever beneath their eyelashes

Nice songs Hema ( do you prefer the MTF nick or the real name ? ) Is this a movie song or from an album ? I actually like the translated lyrics- they add a different dimension to the song, almost akin to a different door (kitchen?) opening when presented along with the original song.
