Julien deserves at least 1 title in his career, for both guys this could be their last final in singles, they won´t play finals at bigger events for sure, so at some 250 maybe in future, but it is not sure.
I don´t know why everyone is pointing out on their records in finals, they are not top players, in form they are decent top 50, that´s it, 250 final is what they can hope for, nothing more, just look on their final opponents. This is probably the easist final for them both.
Benneatou finals:
Casalbanca-clay - Simon 2008 - he wasn´t favorit for sure, Simon on clay can play super long rallies
Lyon-carpet-indoor - Soderling 2008 - Robin indoor on carpet with his serve, tough opponent
Kitzbuhel-clay-2009 - Garcia-Lopez- playing on clay against typical spanish clay-courter no wonder he didn´t win
Marseille 2010 - indoor HC - Llodra- this was difficult also, because they are friends and Llodra in form indoors is very very tough
Winston-Salem 2011 - HC- Isner, US players are always great at US HC, Isner was favorit
Benneteau is this time i think 1st time favorit in final-just little but is favored by odds. From his 5 losses he 2x won first set and lost, always played touhg player.
Don´t want now to write all Jarkko´s matches, but generally the same always played someone better-higher ranked in finals on small events- lost 2xRoger,2xNalbandian, Monfils, LLodra again no easy opponents in final.

Wow, h2h is heavily in Niemo's favour and they played 3 matches on hard, Niemo won all 3. Even though Benny's stats vs. Left Handers is 19/20 he apparently has problems handling Niemo.
I would expect a win for the Finn but his serve is so weak it may let him down.

Nah, they're bad. For instance, Garcia-Lopez and Llodra are hardly nightmare-ish final opponents. In the case of Nieminen you have to excuse him for losing to Federer a couple of times but that's it. 1-10 is ridiculous for a player of his calibre.

I think Benneteau will win. He has been on fire this week.
I watched the Nieminen Istomin game and thought Istomin had control in the second half of the first set and coughed up an epic tb, which was the back breaker for him. Istomin really went to town on Neiminen's serve, I think he even got the break back after Neiminen was 40-0 up. The court hours for Neiminen has to be a slight issue as well.

Nonsense. Nieminen has almost always faced top calibre opponents and I think only once or so has been higher ranked in the final. Ditto for Benneteau.
You may want to compare to someone like Tursunov who is 7-2 on ATP finals, but his opponents have mostly been clowns.
