Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
PLD gets Yannick Mertens in the first round of qualies, then probably Mannarino. A solid shot to get to QR2.
Hope he plays well.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
PLD lost in Auckland in Round 1 of qualies 62 67 63 to Meterns who is ranked 4 above him at 245.
I really thought he was going to win this match. Not a great start to the year for him.
Next up for him should be the Oz Qualies later in the week.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
so now he loses in NZ. His choice of places to fly to are not very smart. First he goes to Qatar to miss the cut and then goes to NZ to lose in the first round in qualies when he could've went to Noumea where Polansky went and he also could've went to Sydney qualies and then finally play Oz qualies but no...

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
do you know his money situation? No?? Then don't criticize his scheduling. For all we know, that was the best choice.
Anyways...
Happy birthday to PLD 26 years old

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
PLD got really lucky with the AO qualies draw. He drew a seed but it was Bagnis who has a sub 500 record in even hard court futures matches. Definately one of the easiest seeds to draw. Round 2 would be too tough either with Brzezicki or Ghem, I never thought I'd say it but he has a shot at getting to round 3. If he does it would probably be against Berankis who must have bribed the draw makers because this entire section is bad

Berankis should walk to the qualification.
Not a bad draw for PLD considering though - never know what can happen over one match if he makes it to R3

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
Incredible to see PLD as, arguably, the favourite to make R3 Defintiely two winnable matches, but he'd be a huge underdog in the third one.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos
I noticed that PLD has a tendency to mug things up. It wouldn't surprise me if he lost in the first round but ya, he does have a good draw to qualify. In fact, he probably has the best draw of all the Canadian players entered in the qualies event.
