I'm pretty sure a lob is what you'd naturally hit off the tweener. If you think about the mechanics of the shot I think it's actually more difficult to hit it flat and pass your opponent at the net. Maybe I'm wrong?
Pretty much the same. You just have to be closer to the ball if you want to hit a lob.

but the bigger chance of winning a point from that position is if you try to hit it hard and low

Bob Bryans tweener lob was exquisite when watched live. First time I ever jumped outta my seat watching a doubles match.. and that while only half paying attention scouting for "potential" in the crowd.

FeFederer's tweener against Djokovic USO SF '09. Easily the best.
There may have been "harder" ones maybe, like Federer's own repeat in 2010 again Dabul. But its hard to top a cross court tweener on a HC in a Slam SF to bring up match point.
By the way, you must include the reverse hot=dog of Federer's against Schoorel in Doha this year. Federer managed to hide his dorkiness of outrunning the ball by hitting that tweener out of the blue.
