Rafa Nadal Dreams Of Returning To Perfection
Seems like he has set himself the goal to be fully fit for AO. He wants to win it badly!
Quote:
RAFA NADAL DREAMS OF RETURNING TO PERFECTION
Rafa Nadal needs to recover
Sunday November 27,2011
SO Rafa Nadal is back in Spain to lick his wounds, rest and reflect on just why he has – for the time being – lost his passion for the game.
He left the 02 Arena and the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals wishing everyone ‘A Happy New Year.’
But what of his own year? What will 2012 bring for the Spaniard who with 10 Grand Slam titles stands sixth in the list of Slam winners?
First he must get himself up for next week’s Davis Cup Final against Argentina in Seville. Back on home territory and his beloved clay.
Former British No.1 Greg Rusedski, who has watched with careful interest the way Nadal has succumbed to tiredness both mentally and physically, predicted: “Whoever stands in front of him in Spain will feel nothing but pain.
“He is tired and needs to rest. But he will get himself up for this one last big event of the year.
He is tired and needs to rest. But he will get himself up for this one last big event of the year.
Greg Rusedski
“I don’t think there is much else wrong with his tennis. Get another coach? What else could another man in his corner do for him?
“Rafa plays a brutal game that is difficult to improve.” But Rusedski’s optimism can be tempered by the fact that Nadal has, indeed, begun to grow away from Uncle Toni, who has ruled him with a rod of iron.
There have been rumours of a rift in the camp for some time. Nadal is tired of the way he is still bullied and spoken to so roughly. “Things will change,” he said. “I’m more my own man now.”
But Rusedski claimed there was nothing much wrong with Rafa than the need to relax body and soul.
He added: “Remember, two years ago he was written off, and came back to win three more Slams.”
Nadal said: “My dream is to arrive in 2012 in the right condition. Just to be perfect again. I have definitely been a little slower lately, and that is because my mind wasn’t perfect.
“I need time to reflect on the mental side, and I have to be aggressive again and much more physical.
“I have to do things properly again. I have a week now to practice on clay, even if I am not playing perfect, the surface will help me and give me my confidence back."

Re: Rafa Nadal Dreams Of Returning To Perfection
Rafa needs to be more agressive again. That's the point to winning again

Re: Rafa Nadal Dreams Of Returning To Perfection
Rafa obviously needs to come back fit, but even then don't expect a title until the clay season, as per. He will need to build up his confidence first. Just to get back to playing some good tennis is the priority.
How tedious is this alter ego?

Re: Rafa Nadal Dreams Of Returning To Perfection
He needs to improve his forehand, backhand, serve, return, volley, smash, footwork and mentality. Once he does that no one will beat him. Vamos!

Re: Rafa Nadal Dreams Of Returning To Perfection
Since Djokovic will beat him in Monte Carlo, I think Rafa's 1st title will be in Barcelona
