Of course i was NOT serious!!! I didn't say I WISHED injury on Rafa - just saying (or at least meant to say) that's about the only way someone could beat him. Rafa is actually one of my favorite players but that's not the point-I'm deeply offended that anyone would think I would wish injury on any player!!!!!!! BTW-ever heard of an old expression we use in America "break a leg" actually means "good luck". But thanks for the warning ...

Now for why I came to post - to Team France. It was pretty much mission impossible under the circumstances but still you guys worked hard all week despite the grim outlook. There's always next year.

"Break a leg" is an old theatrical expression as it's considered a jinx to wish someone good luck before they go on stage.
Anyway, I didn't think you were beng serious but it was unfortunate the way you phrased your post. Did you know that someone was banned here for posting a player could "go to hell" as that was consdered wishing death? Bit extreme I know! Anyway, no harm done

During Tuesday's official announcement that the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver would host the 2012 Davis Cup World Group tie between Canada and France, Tennis Canada unveiled a pair of provocative posters to promote the event. The Vancouver Sun reports that one featured Canada’s top player, Milos Raonic, with the tag line: "Hey France, I’ve got a 151 m.p.h. serve. Try returning that with a baguette."

Another poster has Canadian player Vasek Pospisil saying, "Hey France, Welcome to Vancouver. My hometown and your worst nightmare."

Tennis Canada’s Gavin Ziv said the arena will seat just over 4,500 and he hopes it will create a "loud and vibrant atmosphere while still remaining intimate. We’ve got to teach the people how it’s done around the world and we should do the same here. We are patriotic. We showed it during the Olympics and we can bring that here. Don’t come in with the mentality of ‘Quiet please.’ You’ve got to cheer for your country and make it hard on the other team."
