Very good match. Go on and win the title Pics, he deserves a MS. He does have days when he just doesn't post against the top 4 but if he can get into the match he might have a chance against a possibly tired Murray.

Ferrer will make the final more interesting. Lopez showed his mug skills in the last service game

Good fight back from Ferrer and he ended up playing better on the whole. But that game to break in the third set was absolutely gifted to him, I mean 3 double faults...what the hell!

stop it already......you proved once again that you are biased and nothing else.....if you were not, you would definitely have attributed lopez's defeat to his weakshit backhand......just because lopez leads ferrer by 6-5, ferrer is not a "bad match up" to lopez? too funny......and just goes to show why bad match ups don't exist and it's all about adaptability at the end of the day......

lopez covers up his dreadful weakness with his brilliant serving and forecourt skills......fedclown the so called all court most complete player freezes like a clown and can't do shit because he's given up mentally......you just have to get it that no player is devoid of weaknesses and it's all about how you adapt to oppositions and stay mentally strong......

the main reason why nadal owns fed is because of his never say die attitude......fed knows nadal will never give up and that is the type of opposition he hates the most, while he can easily handle anybody and any talent who can fight only to a certain extent and bend over after that......

and for your "lesser players don't win against better players unless there exists a match up issue", did it ever occur to you that circumstances may have been different? davydenko found nadal too many times when he was down......and what if a lesser player summons up the courage and has a couple of good days?

That's it, but match ups don't exist. How do we explain the paranormal where a consistently lower ranked player has a positive record over someone higher.

happy for Ferru but sad for the way it ended, the first set was such a beautiful set to watch with a climactic TB edged by Feli's beautiful play, including a spectacular backhand pass barely kissing the baseline, better luck next time

hope pics takes this now, Murray got enough of those

and those who fail to understand the concept of matchups would never see why Federer has given Djokovic more trouble and has had more success than Nadal did this year, simply because it exposes their idol's limitations and one-dimensional game plan, which happens to work against one player and miserably fail against the other

Federer doesn't have a poor record against other lefties does he?

One of the main things is that Ferrer has less topspin and doesn't handle slice as well as Nadal.

Ferrer vs LaLo matchup is very different from the Federer vs Nadal one, which is what everyone else on this board except you understands.

On the match, great that Ferrer won . Hope he wins the title, his career deserves an AMS title.

Unfortunate then, for Ferrer, Nishikori gave Andy a refreshing massage and a kiss on the cheek and sent him to the final more rested than he's been the last three weeks.
