Nothing new; had a day off so spent most of it outside cleaning up the grounds while watching youngest struggle with cutting the grass My day was good too. Slumming for a bit before making dinner.
What was your day like?

I’ve been reading that Jobs might have put off getting conventional treatment for his cancer while pursuing a dietary cure.
I wonder if that’s just that sort of talk that makes us all feel better thinking that if we just do the right thing at the right time, we will never have a bad outcome.

I slept until noon, then got on a bus for 4 hours, arrived in Coimbra. Went to the orphanage, spent some time with the kids, walked to the mall and did some shopping, came home to have dinner. Good day

I thought he did the conventional treatment up front but then tried alternative intertwined after his cancer returned. Let's face it he lived a long time with what is ultimately an incurable cancer so whatever he did was right for him.

Have a good time; I am watching a doe outside my kitchen window
eating in the woods So lovely.

I like deer.
Until they appear suddenly in front of my car.

Here’s the article http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...ne-cancer.html
But, who knows what the truth really is?
I think it’s a rather private matter about what treatment you choose or don’t choose. But, I’ve noticed that we like to blame people for the misfortune that befalls them.
I knew a woman whose child was distressed because he heard on the news that someone had broken into a woman’s apartment and killed her in her bathtub. He couldn’t understand how it could have happened when the woman had done nothing wrong. I think somehow that’s what we do. Say things like — she should have had an alarm system or whatever it is that we say that makes us feel like no random misfortune will ever happen to us.

Re: The new (and improved) Djokoforum chat thread! Part 2
No rest for me I made my annual checkup with my GYN month ago, then went grocery shopping as I cleaned out the fridge before leaving. But I am too tired to do any grocery. I ended up taking a nap this afternoon.
Tomorrow will be physical therapist I need to make appointment for my screening mammo and bone density check but I don't know if I have the energy for more appointments.

1) Find a way to rest. I mean it. You're harming yourself, you need to stop and rest!
2) Don't postpone the mammo, that's a very important thing. You do it every year, right?
3) Physical therapy will be better than you think. it will be ok.

Don't worry, I will have my mammo. I have it every year. You are the one telling me to rest I haven't had a minute to myself since getting up at 7am. And it's almost 4pm. I ate my lunch in the car while waiting for my son afterschool. Hopefully, that's all for me as I almost cleaned up all outstanding items on my to do list.
edit: Get my appointment for mammo and bone density next Tuesday. So it will be another crazy Tuesday for me with all appointments and driving around

Re: The new (and improved) Djokoforum chat thread! Part 2
My therapist did his best twisting and pulling and bending my left arm and shoulder today. The range of movement of my left shoulder improved a lot compared to last week. So more exercises at home.

Yay!
Those exercises really work even though individually they seem kind of ridiculous.
Sometimes I would get the giggles when the therapist would show me a new one.
Now I have a whole set of new silly exercises that I must get off my duff and do.
