Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again
Federer won 13 GS's, I think he's entitled to "some" ego. Some people expect him to be Jesus, yet even Jesus was confident in his abilities.

I'd say Federer is pretty realistic most of the time except when he's on clay. I'd say the mtfer quantum-chromos are on Palin and Bush level, though this quote takes the cake:A Navy lecturer was talking about some directives on the blackboard that he said to do something about, “except for these here ones with the asteroids in back of.”

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again
As can be seen from today's match against Davy - Murray has some ways to go before he can be in the same group as Fed and Nadal. He has the tools but he still has problems with consistent results when he is not playing his best.
Fed is correct in his assessment and comments like this will only make Murray a lot more motivated and willing to take the next step in his maturity as a tennis player since he respects Fed a lot.

I'm not sure what you understood from his statement, he was saying that his main rival is still only Nadal right now, he wasn't talking about who is going to win the slams or dominate the sport, read the context:
Q. It's early days, but is it possible that you and Andy Murray could develop into a similar sort of rivalry you've had with Rafa?
ROGER FEDERER: Hmm. I mean, difficult, I guess. At the moment it's Rafa and myself. I really still feel it's that way because, what has it been, three French Open finals in a row, plus a semi, plus two Wimbledon finals in a row. You know, or three.
Yeah, so we've played on so many occasions, big events. So, I mean, we still have to play a few more Grand Slam finals. If that's the case, I'm very happy from my side.
