The downside of this is that it surely means that at least one of Dancevic/Bester/Polansky is not fit enough to play, but I am delighted that Erik gets this opportunity to play in the Rogers Cup - in his hometown too!

Congrats to Erik on the MD WC I remember when he went over to Europe a couple of years ago, just had a horrible run of losses, then took that long break. Great that he rallied from that to were he is now, and nice to see him get rewarded.

Sad he lost. Played much better than Ward (according to the livematch scoreboard haha) in the first set and a half.
