RG quarters
Now in the semis of a G1 in Germany. Just took out the top seed, #11 in the rankings, 6-4 6-4. Also in the finals of the doubles.

16 years old and up to 28 in the rankings

i thought to start with this thread few months ago but thought it's a bit too early
i started to follow him intensively from 2 semis in tunisia in february
he was at 244. place in a mid of january

Pavic just won GA doubles title in Osaka (Japan) and played final in singles (lost 4:6, 6:1, 3:6 against his partner, one year older Japanese Uchiyama).
He should be in junior top 10 for the first time (he will be 3rd of his generation).

i didn't see that's happed because he played match (actually hole tournament) on completely other part of the worls only 4 days ago. and that was on hard, this is clay. in that situation almost anybody should beat 17 years old unexperienced player.

Pavic is on the entry list for the next Futures in Croatia, but he'll probably get a wildcard into the main draw. It's a tough draw, with the cutoff around 500.

Mate played Futures tournaments in GRB last week and again this week. He reached R2 both times.

Last week he beat the #7 seed, Blake Strode (#491) in R1 (excellent win!) but then lost to a player in the 800s.

This week he beat a top 40 junior in R1 but then lost to the #7 seed, Chris Eaton (#426; CH #317).

This week, Mate moves up to a new CH ranking: up 61 spots to #1109. He'll reach a new CH ranking next week too.

Mate has been making his way up the rankings nicely. He reached a CH ranking of 773 last week.

This week he's into the QF at Heraklion Challenger. In R1 he crushed the #4 seed Bloemke (#486, CH #302) 62 62. He was less impressive in R2 (needed three close sets to beat #1007 Kosler) but managed to win.

Also, he's at his CH doubles ranking of 211. Not bad for an 18 year old!
