The Davis Cup
The weekend of Davis cup is here. And as you guys might know , neither Berankis, neither Grigelis is playing. So there's a big threat that our team will drop to group III (eek ). All hopes are put on our youngsters: Dovydas Sakinis, Lukas Mugevicius, Julius Tverijonas and Julius Gotovskis. The team's average age - 17,5 years. The youngest ever team in our history. Only one of them - Sakinis, has an ATP ranking, and he's barely playing right now.
The team we are facing is Morocco, lead by Reda El Amrani. Another important note, we are playing on CLAY. Of course, that gives another big advantage for the Moroccans , as if they didn't had enough. So I must say - theirs a slim to none chance of winning. But this is a great experience for our young guys. Here's our Davis cup team for this tie.

Re: The Davis Cup
Yeah, our Davis Cup team is so young this time. But everything is ahead of them. Let's get experience as Lithuania needs more good players for being successful at Davis Cup. I will be happy if they win at least one match or even set. So, Vamos kids .

Re: The Davis Cup
Why Lithuania choose clay? Is El Amrani best surface, so unless Sakinis and the other guys play a lot better on clay than they do on Hard I can't understand the decision. Anyway good luck, hope they get the surprise

Everyone knew that if we choose clay we will hardly have any chance, so maybe the Heads just choosed the clay courts for lesser rent cost than the SEB Arena (indoor hard).

Re: The Davis Cup
Sad that the match against Estonia was away, cause I would see it live for sure...

Re: The Davis Cup
Expected result, although I have some hopes when I saw Mugevicius was 3-0 up in first set.
Sakinis took first set 6-2
