Re: Davis Cup
With Frank not playing DC and Milos out, who is our second singles player? Remember this is on clay.

Re: Davis Cup
I agree with the decision to keep Peter off the Davis Cup team. He really hasn't done diddly squat this year so I think it's a good decision. When choosing the team, I believe you should always take your four hottest players. Canada hasn't always done that. I believe Milos and Vasek will play the singles with Bester playing doubles with Nestor. I could be wrong.

Re: Davis Cup
I assume the only reason Frank is not on the team is because he is playing Newport or could their be some friction between him and Laurendeau. I believe they aren't together anymore right?

After the Wimbledon meltdown - and the meltdown against Garza in Mexico - would you risk putting Frank on the team? I certainly wouldn't - top 100 talent, but mentally he's playing right now closer to 400-500.

Frank was not going before the Wimbledon meltdown (Source: his father)
I am very excited to see Milos playing and really like the choices by ML.

Well in case a spot opens up that should be taken into account.

Re: Davis Cup
I like the team choice, Vasek and Phil have clearly been better this year than Peter, and deserve the spots. It'd be interesting to see who would fill in if there were an injury; not sure Peter would want to go as a fourth man, might be Diez in that case. In any case, I like Vasek or Phil's chances against Campozano, and beating the fellow #2 should really be enough for a #2 singles player with Milos playing.

Re: Davis Cup
If I were the coach, it would be like this...
1st rubber
Milos v. opponent
2nd rubber
Vasek v. opponent
doubles rubber
Raonic/Pospisil v. opponent
