Re: 2011 Grass Season: Kei in Eastbourne
Thanks for the live scores misty1 (I can understand the frustration I felt from reading your comments )
Very pleased and happy that Kei can win a match like this, the condition was terrible with the cold wind.
Almost served a breadstick to end the match but Kei started to rush it(maybe from nerves) when trying to close it out. Good fight at the end to hold serve and win 6-2 6-3
I had forgotten the No.3 seed is still alive and it's Tipsarevic, which Kei'll face next

Re: 2011 Grass Season: Kei in Eastbourne
no problem
it will be very difficult for kei next
this will be the 4th meeting against tipsarevic this season, and as we all know he's lost all 3
hopefully the 4th time will be the charm

Re: 2011 Grass Season: Kei in Eastbourne
Thanx misty!
Great win by Kei!
I thought Radek would be tougher but probably Kei adjusted to the wind better because he had played earlier.
Now I really hope for a 4th time lucky for Kei vs Tipsy.
And another win will mean completion of Project 45 because by reaching F here Kei will be ranked 44 or 45 next week. Hope Kei can do away with this s*** this time!!!

Re: 2011 Grass Season: Kei in Eastbourne
no problem about the live scoring everyone! your welcome
it actually helps a bit to do it, lol
anyway let me just say that if he ever does that again..i dont know but watching 5-1 slip away and almost get back on serve was not a pleasant experience. Especially because on every break point he was serving a 2nd serve and i was just so afraid he'd serve a double fault
good luck to him again today, if he can just somehow get past tipsy then a chance for a 2nd title is great as it would be kunitsyn oir seppi in the final

I hope nobody reminded him about P45, chances are he's already aware of it.
If he can use it to motivate himself then that's great, but I think he'll have more chance of winning the SF without this psychological barrier.
And the lead in the last set pointed out by misty, he probably won't get such a huge buffer against Tipsy so he needs to be sharper at closing out the match.
Rain delay atm, nothing started yet...

Re: 2011 Grass Season: Kei in Eastbourne
Kei's match has been moved to Court 1. So no streaming I guess...
Tipsy is the only seed left in the draw and why didn't they put him on Centre?
No play yet though.
COURT 1 start NB 2:30 pm
[7] S Stosur (AUS) vs [6] M Bartoli (FRA) - WTA
K Nishikori (JPN) vs [3] J Tipsarevic (SRB) - ATP

Re: 2011 Grass Season: Kei in Eastbourne
Friday was washed out too.
So they're on double duty again.
CENTRE COURT start 10:30 am
[7] S Stosur (AUS) vs [6] M Bartoli (FRA) - WTA
K Nishikori (JPN) vs [3] J Tipsarevic (SRB) - ATP
Not Before 1:30 PM
[7] S Stosur (AUS) or [6] M Bartoli (FRA) vs [5] P Kvitova (CZE) or D Hantuchova (SVK) - WTA SINGLES FINAL
Not Before 3:30 PM
K Nishikori (JPN) or [3] J Tipsarevic (SRB) vs I Kunitsyn (RUS) or A Seppi (ITA) - ATP SINGLES FINAL
Seppi and Kunitsyn's SF is scheduled first on Court 2, so they will finish the match earlier than Kei and Tipsy. I know it's because Seppi is in the doubles final too, but the winner of this match can rest longer before the final, which seems a bit unfair.
Hoping for better weather today!
