Shame there's not more interest in here. I've been watching Giraldo a bit this year and especially these last few weeks and I think he's great, lots of potential to improve his ranking. The match with Rafa in Tokyo last week was high quality, and his win over Melzer this week in Shangai was pretty impressive too!

He's not entered in any more events this year as far as I can tell. Hopefully he'll use the extra time to prepare for 2012.

He's a good player, I first saw him during the Auckland tournament this year

He will play against GGL about in 4 hours at Paris Masters. There'll be a stream for it. (court 1) GGL is out of form lately, so Santi really should win this match.

First week of the season in Brisbane, first QF.

R1: def. Millman 6-3 6-3
R2: def. Petzschner 6-4 6-4

He looks to be in form, but Gilles Simon will be tough. Santi did beat him here last year quite easily though!

Santi has a reasonable shot at making another QF in Auckland. R1 vs local WC Michael Venus who I know nothing about, but on paper this looks like a good first match of course. 2nd seed Almagro in R2, who's still plugging away in Chennai.

I hope you get a chance to see him in action next week FlameOn.
