Murray is essentially a hard-court player, if he wants success on clay he must make a lot of adjustments on his game

I'm with you on this one. Andy doesn't seem to possess the outright strength necessary to hit the ball necessarily hard on clay.
A court with a bit of pace seems to suit him a lot better so he can turn his opponents shots into winners using the pace already in the ball.
He's still not a bad clay courter though - but he's probably only top 10 to 25 on clay rather than top- 4 like on everything else - IMO
