Re: Milos Raonic
he can get a SE if he makes the semis in Memphis, but I don't see him getting DE, or a WC

Re: Milos Raonic
I understand that he is not going to play Acapulco. He has been playing parts at least of the last 6 weeks. Time to have a match-less week I think.

This stuff is getting really annoying. Here is a direct Milos quote from a globe article, not some wishful BS from the Montengrin tennis federation president.

That's enough for me.

I'm sure Verdasco is happy for that Verdasco is playing Acapulco and I bet he wants to avoid Milos after the loss in San Jose

Pathetic half your posts on MTF have been in this thread. And we were really glad to see you and all the other Montenegran posters here a year ago when Milos was ranked in the 200's. I'm sure you were claiming him as one of your own back then too.
|
Hahahahaha, you are funny. So you say that Montenegro can't produce half decent footballers? Do you really follow football or just saying bs around? Did you ever heard for Dejan Savicevic? Predrag Mijatovic? Mirko Vucinic? Stevan Jovetic? If you didn't you really don't know anything about football.. Just google about those guys above And for the record, i'm not Montenegrin

Bosnian, Serb, Montenegrin - it doesn't really matter to me at this point. Exactly why are you all coming here to post is probably the best question? Many of you seem to enjoy coming here now for no other purpose than to post recycled garbage from a news wire to piss us off. Frankly, the fact you're posting here only now after we've been discussing Milos for years makes me feel stupid for even responding to your crap - this is bandwagoning of the worst sort. So this is my last post responding to anyone from whatever part of the old Yugoslavia that comes here unless they have something constructive to add. Which up to now is absolutely nothing. I hope everyone else here will ignore you all too.
I'm well aware Montenegro does from time to time produce one or two good footballers - really all countries do - and thanks for listing many who haven't played for over a decade. But if your Serbian friends are going to come here and start insulting Canada, I'll throw stuff back as I please.

Not as funny as your complete lack of research skills
Here are just two examples - this board has been following Milos for two years longer than I - and many other regular posters - have been posting here
http://www.menstennisforums.com/show...&postcount=603
http://www.menstennisforums.com/show...&postcount=892
Just because a thread isn't titled "Milos Raonic" doesn't mean no one is paying attention.
Maybe its time instead of posting here for all the Serbians/Bosnians etc... to revive the Montenegro Players Thread that has been inactive for over a year and post your Milos articles there
http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=94119
If Milos does ever decide to play for Montenegro, then fantastic for him. I don't really care either. But he's playing Davis Cup for Canada in a few weeks time, so I'll continue to assume he'll play as a Canadian for the foreseeable future

Great, we all agree. And btw.. Milos is Montenegrian, BUT he is also Candian. Just because he wasn't BORN in Canada doesn't mean he's not Canadian. He moved there when he was THREE years old! His parents live there, his girlfriend live there. He was raised in Canada and went to school in Thornhill. He started his tennis career in Canada. He said his progress is much due to the support he gets from Tennis Canada. He said he likes hockey. All those things, to me, equals Candian and Montenegrin too of course, since he was born there. But to me he's just as much a Canadian and as a Montenegrin, and from what he's said, sounds like that is how he considers himself as well.
He is is constantly talking about Canadian tennis, how much his sucess means to Canada and Canadian tennis, and when he talks about "back home", he always talks about Canada and Toronto.
Sure he could play for Montenegro in the future, but for now, for the nearest future, it looks like he's sticking with Canada.
That was basically all I wanted to say about that And I hope you root for Milos even though he plays for Canada, because he's a great player, and that is the most important thing
BTW.. I wasn't born in Canada, never even been there But I feel Canadian. It's weird, but I've always liked the country, and I am seriously considering moving there as soon as I finish my degree! I guess I just wanted to say that identity is about more than where you were born.

LOL.. I did too!
Then again, I always root for Canada, because I love the country. I even root for them when they're playing against Norway.. like in the Olympics in the final in curling, I was rooting for Canada to win, so everyone got annoyed with me
