Re: Laurynas Grigelis (LTU)
The Future Talent Academy announced the plans of Laurynas and Oskaras .
Google translation from Programma dei lituani:
Quote:
Laurynas Grigelis will make his debut in a Futures from $ 15,000 in Britain, specifically in Sheffield (synthetic), where he is currently excluded from the first seeding. The first favorite is the Belarusian Ignatik, before Galvani and Sidorenko. For Gray, next week another 15 000, this time in Germany (Kaarst), where the favorite is the Finnish Kontinen. After the onset of 'soft' in Futures, is passed to the ATP circuit. From January 31 there is a Challenger tournament in Courmayeur, and does not preclude the possibility that Laurynas decides to try qualifying for the ATP Zagreb. Finally, since 5 February, with the home leg of the Bergamo Challenger, which last year saw Grigelis get a good second round.
Regarding Kalinauskas, however, onset has two Futures tournaments in Israel, always starting from Monday, January 17.

Pretty much he needs to find a way and develop some kind of consistent and reliable forehand...there is no way to survive on ATP tour without this shot I'm afraid. So far it's very shaky and breaks down in any elongated rally.

Re: Laurynas Grigelis (LTU)
Thanks Dalx, I hope Laurynas plays a lot of matches in Challengers this year and can get experience and raise his strokes. In terms of ranking get close to Top 250 would be a good goal I think

Re: Laurynas Grigelis (LTU)
What's up with Laurynas? Do you guys know where he is going to play next?
Oskaras Kalinauskas and another Lithuanian player Benas Majauskas played qualies in Israel F2, but both of them lost in the first round...
(well, I live very far away from the tournament so it's not like I could go and watch them anyway )

Thanks.
To be honest I checked the tournaments in Spain and Germany but was too lazy to see if he's on the entry list of GB too Good luck to him, I hope he starts the year well.
