2.) OK. As we read in his Official site David's pro tennis year 2010 is finished...
It means he will concentrated on January 2011 ...

Let's hope he will win finally his first GS. May be AO 2011
I honestly dont think he would win a GS in 2011 due to his lack of 'experience' in playing 5-set matches in recent years (missing many GSs, and also losing in early rounds). I hope he could reach the SF/QF in order have the 'feeling' back.

* Australian Open: This is his 'weakest' GS. And he is never well-known to be fresh/competitive in early part of the year.
* French Open: His best years are behind him. Due to his imperfect fitness level, I dont think he could stand the long rallies and long matches. He lost his best chance to win it in 2006 (losing to Federer, if I remember correctly)
* Wimbledon: I would say this is the GS he has the best chance to win, since not too many players could play well on grass. I think only Nadal + Federer are his obstacles. Djokovic is not a grass court specialist, and I think Murray/Roddick always choke in this GS. I always have a feeling that Nalbandian would reach his second GS final in 2012 at Wimbledon (Exactly 10 years after his first final).
* US Open: similar to French Open. He lost his best chance to win in 2003.

I always enjoy watching him play, but I dont want him to end his career same as Dementieva (no GS victory). I hope he could at least end up like Roddick/Sabatini/Martinez/Novotna (only winning 1 GS), and win the Davis Cup.

But I do think it is impossible for him to get to the world #1 position...
