Re: The Us Hardcourt Season
he dropped the 2nd set 3-6 and picked up the 3rd 6-1
magnificent serving for a majority of that third set, 92% up until 4-0

Re: The Us Hardcourt Season
I wouldn't call him a mental midget. He still hasn't lost a match since getting to match point. That means he doesn't have problem closing matches. It's his concentration. He seems to only be able to play one good set in a match.

Of course he has done that already.
Indian Wells 2010 he had 3 MPs against Djokovic but couldn´t convert.

Re: The Us Hardcourt Season
oops...didn't know about that game. That might be the first match and I hope it would be the last.
but my idea of an mental midget is someone that gets nervous in tight situations. I don't think he has that problem (regularly). It seems to me that he can't sustain his quality of play like he zones out after one great set.

Re: The Us Hardcourt Season
so you mean he's streaky? he's not inconsistent because he can get the same resuts regularly, streaky means that he can play good and bad in the same match

Re: The Us Hardcourt Season
yeap.
the only match that I have seen him played amazing from start to finish was the one against roddick in AO 2008. I didn't watch the match against Davydenko and Verdasco in the davis cup, but his other big wins against djokovic in the french and murray in monte carlo, i thought it was more of them not playing well rather than Kohlschreiber playing consistently at his highest level.
