Anyone trying to use combine backhand(two+one handed)? Some shots play two-handed(etc high bounced balls or low speed balls) and others one-handed(passing shots,lobs,deep low bounced balls).

I know one person that plays one handed backhanded and two handed forehand, but not like you described.

I just say one example.But i'm interesting anyone playing combined backhand and it's works for him.

Eh, sometimes. Id never fully switch from the 2 hander because its my best shot, but Id use the one handed for volleys, chips, slices and defense.

Probably the same here.

Several years ago, I broke the ring finger on my left (non-racket) hand. The nasty splint I had to wear made it all but impossible to grip the racket and so I learned to do things one-handed. While I never quite got the hang of a full-out passing shot, many of the other shots have developed quite nicely. The finger has long heeled, but I'm finding myself taking that hand off the racket for more shots and sooner in the stroke.

It's not only possible to "combine" both...but succeed at it (at least at the Club level).

i use one handed backhand normally
but i admit sometimes i change to double-handed at running shots i feel more safe hitting them at 2bh

I use one hand only to reach farther and just poke it.

I use both the single and double backhand and hit both shots well.

I use my single hander on medium to high bouncing balls at the baseline. I also use it for slices and volleys.

If I am going to execute a lob then I use my double hander. I also use my double hander on medium bouncing mid-court balls. It gives me more power and control.

If I get wide medium paced shots to my backhand then I use my double hander. If they're fast paced then I use a single hander or slice/punch.

Basically the backhand I use varies on the shots that I receive.

I mainly use a one handed backhand, but in ocasion(depending the shot) I use the 2 handed...

Well that is an uncommon way to vary the two. I mean many two-handed backhand pros use one handed backhands for slice/drop shot/volleys/backhand smash only. Other than that, they use the two-handed backhand for everything else, topspin backhand, flat backhand, drive-volley backhand, etc.

The way you mention is counterproductive I would say which is why you don't see this in college or professional players. Of course you may not be a really serious player, but developing one way to hit is the best way to go really.

When I saw this thread, I thought of Youzhny...not what you're meaning, but he used to always keep the second hand on the racket for a lot longer than most one-handers

Yeah that isn't what the OP meant. He means someone that hits a Davydenko backhand sometimes and then a Federer backhand sometimes for the same shot.
