I got a feeling that this could be the Tour when Rogers makes all the promises come true. Guy was great all year then struggled at Tour de Suisse. Decided to quit quickly and went to the mountains. That long time trial could be great for him. He will beat the likes of Schleck1, Schleck2, Armstrong, Rodriguez, Gesink... easily there. Think Tour de France 07. Guy would be in contention for the yellow without his crash. And he has a good supporting cast. It could be surprising since it's Columbia but Martin, Monfort and Siutsou makes a very decent threesome.
Cheers Straby but I thought the rain was due later on when the last quarter of the field start? Can you please keep an update on the weather over the next few hours? Like what it is doing say 3 hours from now? If it's going to pour down at the start, it may make me think of a late few bets.
BG, you are aware that Martin has been flying of late? Beat Cancellara on home soil two weeks ago.
Anyway, I'm tempted with the Contador one too. I'm thinking he goes as hard as he can today to get yellow. He will use this stage as insurance in case he loses some time on stage 3 when they ride the cobbles. They don't have to defend the jersey. They can let the sprinters teams take control tomorrow. Let a break go.
.3 units Contador @ $17
