Rain too strong for Romania and Korea

According to Murphy’s law the weather forecast is wrong only when the sun is supposed to shine. When it is supposed to rain the weatherman is always right. So he was on Saturday in Bucharest. The overcast sky over Romanian capital wasn’t as benevolent as it was on Friday. It was actually teasing players and organizers. The courts were uncovered a couple of times but play never actually begun. The light drizzle stopped around noon giving hope that the doubles match would start as scheduled at 1300. But a couple of minutes after the ceremony it started to rain again and the court had to be re-covered.

The covers were removed one more time but again just minutes after the clay court was prepared for play, the rain returned.
The ITF referee Jorge Dias waited until late afternoon before deciding to postpone the doubles match for the day, which means that the three remaining rubbers will be played on Sunday, starting with the doubles between Andrei Pavel and Horia Tecau for Romania and Hee-Seok Chung and Hyung Taik Lee and followed by the reverse singles between Pavel and Lee, followed by Victor-Valentin Crivoi against Woong-Sun Jun.
And the words “weather permitting” should be added while the forecast is saying there could be some more showers on Sunday.

:(
