In the game, participants pick the winners of all main draw matches (and sometimes some qualifying draw matches) and are placed in a knock-out system. That means each participant plays a different participant and whoever predicted the winner of most matches correctly, moves on to the next round. The same applies for doubles, but you're in a team format and your scores are combined.
Note:
- In case of a tie, a tie-breaker will decide who moves on to the next round.
- In case a player (i.e. the actual ATP Player) retires in a match, this match will be counted as long as one point has been played. If players are replaced by a lucky loser after the start of Tennis Tipping, these matches will be cancelled.
Picks can be sent in as soon as the draws are ready. Remember, you pick a winner in every match! Picks should be sent by PM, so that your opponent does not know your picks. Picks should be titled: TT MAUI ***DAY. Picks can be sent in anytime until the beginning of play each day, or in special cases until the deadline set by the manager in order to benefit the majority. If you're still in both singles & doubles, you use the same tips for both. For doubles, you still tip the ATP singles matches, not the doubles! No changes can be made after the play has started.
How awful! The results of the Tournament might have been different, if this had been caught earlier. And you are right Tom you can't catch everything! I never once thought about going to the AO thread to see who was left in there because it was so late in that Tournament. I guess players are going to have to start watching the other threads also!
I don't really know the rules in such a case.
For me, no one of his opponents are considering to win..
But maybe the opponents win. I think it is clear enough on the 1st page for Gavnich to elaborate the rankings..
Johnson was not a bad option - but I feel like Smyczek doing a great tournament here!
GL in the next tournament hidalgo!
Re: Tennis Tipping #4b - Maui- Send picks for Saturday
TT Schedule of Play – Saturday/Sunday
For your information, in grey and underlined, there are the past results between the the two players
After the nationality, you have the rank in the statistic in this tournament - see post #249
Stadium
12:00PM
Matthew2408/Mae (GBR/USA) vs. (1) 1987518LPF/Gallina (CHN/ARG)
Not before 2:00PM (1) ibreak4coffee (CAN) vs. MikiKuba (CZE) 0-0
Actually I think it is very good! And I can see why the other team has the advantage over us right now! Their Rankings are way above ours! Actually I thought I had been in more Doubles Finals than 4! It seems I have been in a ton and never have won a Doubles Title yet!
