Re: Week 41: Tiburon (Entry List)

Simon in both sets got breaks to get back into the sets from breaks down, but got broken to lose both sets 3-6. Absolutely incapable of holding serve easily, lost over half of service points. Been a very disappointing several months for Simon.

Also disappointing Thiemo couldn't build on his good week last week. Hopefully whatever issue he had isn't serious.

Re: Week 41: Tiburon (Entry List)

Gremelmayer cost me a parlay.

92090377-1 10/11/11 1:42pm $60.00 $840.83 $0.00 Loss 3 Team Parlay
Win 10/11/11 1:45pm International Soccer 126 Russia (Euro Cham) -3½ -129* vs Andorra (Euro Cham)
Win 10/11/11 3:45pm Challenger Tennis 514 Roman Borvanov -130* vs Juan Sebastian Cabal
Loss 10/11/11 7:00pm Challenger Tennis 515 Denis Gremelmayr +382* vs Ivo Karlovic

I saw on my iphone "Player retired" and I knew Gremelmayer won the first set, so I figured surely it was Karlovic feeling physically fatigued after winning Sacramento last week and just losing a tiebreak. But I was wrong.

I hope he was sincerely injuried instead of up to some questionable behavior

Either way, he should have retired during the first set if he wasn't feeling well.

Hopefully he gets better soon.

I thought that in the betting world, bets are void if a player retires.

Re: Week 41: Tiburon (Entry List)

Some sportsbook they are voided if not completed. At 5Dimes (where I placed that wager) after the first set all bets are action regardless of whether or not a player retires.

Anyway, Borvanov/Cabal match was very interesting from watching the scoreboard. Borvanov led 5-2* in the third set. Cabal dominated the next 3 games to make it 5 all, and then they both held relatively easily.

It was 5-5 in the tiebreak and Borvanov got the crucial minibreak that allowed him to have matchpoint on his serve *6-5. He double faults and squanders his MP it's now 6-6. He then proceeds to serve a second serve ace on the next point to take a 7-6 advantage. Then Cabal follows it up with a DOUBLE FAULT on match point.

GSM Borvanov.

Re: Week 41: Tiburon (Entry List)

How is Borvanov winning matches lately? Dude is serious garbage.
I was surprised by this as well.

Also, I don't think Farah has a great serve despite his size. Pretty much just puts it in

Re: Week 41: Tiburon (Entry List)

Bjorn was up *4-3 and got broken twice to lose the set. So ridiculous. Almost identical to what happened last week. Not gonna get much better than Jones and Ignatik for Bjorn so failing to take advantage of this draw will be crushing.
